A friend who had accompanied me down the coast pointed out this location, known as Garrapata Beach, or in layman terms, "Tick" Beach. I grabbed this shot right as the sun set along the ocean, before racing back to my car and back down the highway to the famed Bixby Bridge, which can be seen in The Bridge to Paradise on this site.

I visited California for the first, and so far, only time in September of 2015. After attending an AC/DC concert in San Francisco, I spent the next few days traveling down the Pacific Coast Highway. Towards the evening of the final day on my trip, I was looking for a unique location for the sunset.A friend who had accompanied me down the coast pointed out this location, known as Garrapata Beach, or in layman terms, "Tick" Beach.
